Chispa and Voto Latino come together to encourage Latinx voters to register and vote
Health care, immigration, jobs and the economy are key issues for Latino singles as the midterm elections approach
DALLAS, September 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Chispa#1 dating app designed for American Latinx singles, regained grassroots political organization latin vote to educate, empower and mobilize the next generation of Latinx voters for the 2022 midterm elections.
The two organizations partnered in 2020, during the presidential election, to help motivate Latinx voters in what turned out to be a breakthrough year. According to the Center for Latin America, Caribbeanand Latin studies at City University of New York, more than 61% of all Latinos over the age of 18 registered to vote, up 12 percentage points from 2016, and a record 88% of registered voters voted, the highest percentage ever checked in ! Latinx millennials also saw the biggest increase in turnout, rising from 47.4% in 2016 to 56.6% in 2020.

- 73% think their vote will make a difference in 2022
- 59% of respondents plan to vote mid-term
- Immigration, healthcare, and jobs/economy are top three issues for Latino singles
