Common Future receives 2022 Skoll Prize for Social Innovation

OAKLAND, CA., April 4, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Common future– the pioneering non-profit organization that provides capital to BIPOC wealth-creation institutions across the country – has been named the recipient of the 2022 Skoll Prize for Social Innovation for his progress in creating sustainable and equitable economies that tackle racial injustice and wealth inequality. The annual Skoll Foundation Prize is awarded to a select group of social innovators whose work targets the root causes of societal problems that are ripe for transformational social change.

The Skoll Prize represents a significant investment in Common Future’s efforts to close the wealth gap, addressing the structural oppression that excludes many communities. As of today, Common Future has changed $280 million towards community investment through United States.
