LOS ANGELES, 22 November 2021 / PRNewswire / – The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) is set to host its 6e Annual Diverse Women in Media Virtual Forum, led by many pioneering women in the industry, was announced today by the Executive Director of NALIP Ben lopez.

“We are excited about the extraordinary roster of female executives who provide leadership, mentorship and opportunities over the course of two days of programming for our DWIMF community of creators and professionals,” said Karla Pita Loor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NALIP, “And it is thanks to the extraordinary support of our industry partners for programs like DWIMF and the NALIP Short Narrative Incubator for Women of Color, that we are in able to share this extraordinary program with anyone who wishes to join. “

The Forum, which aims to empower and advance women’s careers through mentorship, guidance and relationships, will take place December 1-2, 2021 completely online and free for all who register before November 28 on the NALIP virtual platform www.diversewomeninmedia.org. The 2021 virtual edition will have incredible special speakers, mentoring roundtables, and an inspiring, gender-non-compliant environment.

The Diverse Media Forum 2021 is sponsored by WarnerMedia, Sony Pictures Entertainment, STARZ, A + E Networks, Endemol Shine North America, 3Pas Studios, M88 and Variety.

With UCLA Hollywood’s most recent Diversity Report, again highlighting the dramatic under-representation of women, who make up over 50% of the US population, NALIP reaffirmed its commitment to women creators and executives. By connecting emerging talent and mid-level creatives with dynamic industry leaders, this virtual gathering aims to advance more women to influential positions in media. Recently, NALIP also launched an incubator of short narrative films for women of color, in partnership with Netflix. The incubator offered 4 filmmakers the opportunity to create short films, as well as resources and mentorship from NALIP and Netflix executives from pre-to post-production.
